A Confident Surrender in Praise

To the Father above, lover of my soul.

I yield this heart to be made whole.

Renew this life to hear and to see,

Coming by faith, that righteous key.

For it is you who give life all around,

As wind flowing through trees extols a sound.

So is the beautiful Spirit, given to us,

Instructing us to know, to love and to bless.

Like the birds that wake and sing each morn,

So night passes by and your Spirit is born.

They neither worry nor fret, each is held dear,

Guided on one path, in every way you rear.

Forever and always on you alone they lean,

Rising high upon that everlasting wind unseen.

The gift is given with you to be one,

By the Spirit and Life of that first born Son.

Made a child and brought out of the haze,

Given a new voice, so unto you I praise.

Always and forever held firm in your hand,

Confidently walking in a promise-filled land.
