All Creation Praises

In His quiet shadow, we rest before the dawn.
At first light, the birds give their praise in song.
For whose purpose and glory do they sing?
But the Living Fountain of Life, our King.
Do the creatures of the field not teach?
You give them all, and none is beyond your reach.
They live and die in continuous praise of you,
Whether in pain or joy, giving thanks in all they do.
A lesson of instruction and mercy we can learn.
Create in us a new heart, a love for you, we yearn.
Help us to know you not only all around,
But within, our flowing spring to abound.
Open our eyes to see that we are scattered abroad,
In your love, instruct us by your faithful rod.
Make us new and living like the spring tulips in their season,
Brightly blooming from the darkness, you are the hope and the reason.
Every day is ours to choose to walk in grace.
We neither run nor stop but faithfully onward, our pace.
Every night is a death to our selfish ways,
When our hearts are turned to you and steadfast we stay.
Each morning anew, by grace to enter your court with praise.
A new conquering spirit over the world, with open hands we raise.
Not because we are righteous and worthy,
But that your streaming love all may see.
Job 12:7-10
