Dancing on the Waves

In the great calm within the storm comes the call.
Beckoning the children of light, one and all.
Rise up, out of the dark of the night.
Return from exile, be your Father’s delight.
Light the way of love for all to see.
Arise in midnight’s dark, by faith the key.
Valleys filled and mountains cast aside,
In eternal Love, you need only abide.
Come one, come all, dance on the roaring waves,
Here comes your King, the One who conquers and saves.
He comes in love and peace with an outstretched hand.
Steadfastly take it, and on the waves you will stand.
Walk, walk with Him for you; He’s been sent.
Sing, sing with joy from a heart that is rent.
Leave, forget, and throw into the torrent of His wake,
All that hinders, divides, and every mistake.
Dance on waves in the early light of breaking morn,
In perfect love, He holds you fast, a child reborn.
Faith for faith, keep in step and dancing in time,
Higher and higher in Love’s pure light, climb!
