Ocean Depths, Waiting...

Lost in the darkness and born under a veil,
Adrift in an endless ocean of night,
Looking hopelessly for a sail.
Where is the dawn, where is the light?
“The veil that hides has been rend.”
A glimmer of light in the Ocean’s deep.
Dare a reckless risk, to the depths to sink?
“Dive down and swim, light and love to reap.”
Lost, overcome, taken past the brink…
“Further into the depths, I send.”
Drowning under the weight, a breath can not hold.
But the Voice says, “Here you must wait.”
All is cast aside, nothing is kept of old.
What is being done? Is it the pressing of fate?
“Losing your life to gain, my friend.”
All is given, and there is no return.
Where is the light? Lost? Forever gone?
“It’s in your heart, can you feel it burn?
The breath of life, I breathe upon.
Hold fast and keep watch as I mend.”
The depths fade like mist at dawn,
In the night, the thief is fear,
But the day breaks, and it’s gone.
Only the sound of love draws near.
“My beloved, you, I do tend.”
In the deepest depths is the highest peak,
Where white lilies grow from stone.
Hidden in the Ocean Depths, relentlessly we seek,
Fully alive, never alone, in the beautiful Unknown.
Hearing His whispers, “My love for you will never end.”
