The Fountain

To the Fountain of Living Waters poured out,
Who washes in rest, removing all doubt.
He is heaven within when I come to Him first,
Cleansing all depravity, and quenching my thirst.
Here I remain in a peace like no other,
Held in love––in the arms of my Father.
When the seas surround clamoring His glory with a roar,
I quietly approach with praise through the narrow door.
Drawing me near, He takes hold of my right hand,
And opening my eyes reveals what is built upon sand.
Gently He whispers flawless truth to my soul,
“I love you dear child. I alone make you whole.”
Every competing spark of light now fades to black,
Compared to my Father’s love––forever no lack.
Every vision shown, He faithfully proves to make.
Disciplining, teaching, directing every step that I take.
In loving surrender, I practice, receiving all that he gives,
To become a spring of water, just like Him who lives.
