The Plumb Pline
The Plumb Pline

A tangled mess wrapped around a leaden stone,
I am held tightly in the master’s hand alone.
Dropped from a perilous height for his use,
Unwinding chaos cast away like refuse.
Tumbling and spinning, downward I fall.
The tension pulled tight and I’m stretched out tall.
Though I rebound, still seemingly a twisted knot,
It was for this reason I was taken and bought.
Slowly stretched and steadied by that eternal pull,
I’m brought to stillness and peace to the core of my soul.
Strained between the one above and the world below,
I’ve become a witness of truth, faithful to show.
